The concept of sponsoring orphans is a timeless one. The Quran says: “And do not become like those who are preoccupied with the world and its life, seeking after it, and who have no thought of God nor of what has been revealed to you.” [Quran 2:217]
This verse speaks about the concept of sponsorship, which is an important part of Islamic charity. A sponsor can be anyone who can financially support orphans to improve their living conditions. One way that people can support orphanages or other charitable institutions is by sponsoring them. Sponsoring orphanages and other charities means giving money in return for helping them with their needs.
